Family Pictures

A couple months ago Jonathan's brother, Cornel, was kind enough to take some family photos of us. Getting good photos of just the two of us is hard enough, now throw in a squirmy, easily distracted 6 month old and the result is the following handful of photos I was okay with posting.

Not bad for J and me, but I don't know what's going on with Jr.'s lazy eyelid in this one.

Looking down...

This one is okay, I just wish there weren't shadows on Jr's head.

I liked this one the best, but don't mind the big black hole in the upper left corner, it's nothing.

And by far my favorite picture of this guy to date. Doesn't he just look so happy?! I love him, SO cute!

We'll probably get more photos taken when he's around 9 months old, I'll post them when we get them done.

Karen

Cousins

Junior is so lucky to have 3 cousins born within months of him.

First, there's Grace, born in June. She is the leader of the pack, she shows Junior how things are done and he loves watching and playing with her.

These pictures are from our trip to Logan - that post will be coming. The two loved playing in the grass together. This was the first time Junior got to touch and feel the grass with his hands and bare feet. He loved it!

Then there's Pili (Pete), born in July. He and Junior are neck-and-neck in terms of development which is so fun to watch them together. They both love doing the same things at the same time and are often oblivious of each other until that moment when they realize, 'hey, there's someone next to me!' They have a lot of fun together.

Junior was, of course, born in August.

Then there's Tanielu, born in September, I'm sorry that I don't have a more recent photo.

We are so sad that he lives in Hawaii and we haven't been able to get the two (or three) boys together yet. We're going to have to Skype them now that the boys are old enough to look at and pay attention to a computer screen - what fun that will be!

Junior is one lucky kid and I'm so happy that he will always have friends to play with when we get together with either family.

Karen

A Day at the Park

On one of the nicer days in March we decided to go to the park. After staying in the house all winter for fear of exposing our little one to the cold, dirty air, it was very refreshing to be able to take him to the park. We, of course, had to bring along some friends.

We brought Jaida and Kage with us. They wanted to play baseball with their Uncle J. Jaida loves Baby Junior. He's known as Baby Junior in the Saluone family because there are 5 other Juniors and it gets confusing sometimes. I apologize that some of these pictures are dark, I didn't want my baby Junior to get a sunburn.

Trying to get some lighter photos still didn't work that well. But Junior loves to be outside.

He especially loved watching his Dad and Kage play baseball.

Jaida decided to join in the ball playing fun.

Then Grandma and Grandpa came over to say hello and bring us some cookies. They were delicious.
Little did they know they were also bringing a new toy. First there's the inspection phase.
Then the taste testing phase. Although it's pretty hard to get it inside your mouth this way.

The inspection continues...

Success! The taste testing portion has commenced.

And he was very happy until it was time to leave and the toy had to be returned to its owner.

I'm so glad it's starting to warm up and we're able to spend more time outside. Junior really does love being outside and I hope he continues to feel that way.
