A Good Book

Junior really loves books. I caught him like this one day and I thought it was SO cute! He had his leg up with his book, just chillin'.

This is one of his favorite books because it's touchy-feely. He loves that kind right now, but he's also starting to like the lift-a-flap books and, really, he loves them all - even my books!
Notice the moving leg.

He eventually caught on that I was taking his picture. And please, don't mind the mess - I'm sure those with children can relate.

Hi cutey pie!

Eleven Months - What?!

It's about time I did an update on Junior. He will be eleven months old on July 24th. It's CrAzY!!! I can't believe my little baby is almost a year old. Here's an explosion of pictures and videos from the last few months that I've been meaning to post. These are in no particular order.

Junior LOVES his bath time.

This video is when he first learned he could really splash in the tub. He's so cute!

Here he was having fun at first...
But it quickly turns to crying...

And more crying.

When you're a parent you have to get creative about your furniture arrangements. Here I've tried to block Junior from getting into the kitchen by using one of the kitchen chairs, but he's trying his best to thwart me. It didn't work - this time. But he did have fun exploring the underside of the chair.

This is what happens when you turn your face and lean forward right as mommy is putting the spoon to your mouth.

This is just cute!

Junior learned to crawl when he was almost 8 months old. Here are two videos of his early crawling.

Junior's favorite "toys" are electronics. He loves phones, remotes, game controllers - pretty much everything we don't want him to have!

Junior is really good at crawling now, but he has his own unique style. I call it his monkey crawl. You can watch the video and decide for yourself.

Here he is at lunch with Grandpa and Aunt Allison. I'm there too, but we don't need to see that photo. I thought this one was really cute of him. He loves his grandpa - both of them!

Grandma was watching Junior one day and Braden decided he wanted to come visit and play with his cousin. They had a lot of fun together.

One of Junior's favorite games is to open and close drawers. Any drawers he can get his hands on he will play with. Here's a video of him playing with the drawers in his bedroom.

This is the early days of drawers when he was content to just open and close them. Now he's realizing that there's stuff inside those drawers and his favorite past time is taking everything out of them - he thinks it's so fun. I'll have to get a video of that sometime.

Well, I hope this wasn't overload. We are so happy to have our sweet boy be a part of our life and you can bet I'll be posting in the future about his first birthday - it's coming so fast!!!

Savannah's Track Meet

This post is way overdue, but I still want to post it. In early April we went to our niece, Savannah's, track meet. It was in the middle of the day so we only got to watch one of her races, since I had to go back to work. But it was a really nice day and Junior loved being outside.

Here's Savannah getting ready for the race. I don't know how to add arrows on the picture, but she's in there somewhere! If you can spot her, you're good!
Junior patiently waits for the race.

Here's Savannah walking with her friends to the start line.

This is after the race. She did pretty well, I think she came in second. She was disappointed because it was the first race she hadn't taken first place. But the girl who took first place is supposedly one of the best runners so at least she didn't lose to a slow runner, right?

Here's the video of the race. I'm not the best cameraman so forgive the poor filming!

We're so happy to have so many nieces and nephews. They are all starting to grow up so fast and I have a feeling we will be attending a lot of sporting events in the future, not to mention all the sporting events that Jonathan says our Junior will be participating in!
