Sandy Rugby Game

Our nephew, Cornelius Junior, played rugby this year. We enjoyed going to his games. This one was in Sandy and it was a really, really windy day. Our Junior had fun going to the game, mostly he just liked being outside.

C. Junior's team ended up winning this game by a landslide. Mostly because the opposing team was made up of many younger kids and they even had to borrow some players from C. Junior's team in order to even play the game.

Here's my Junior sucking on anything he can get his hands on, in this case our car keys.

Then he discovered Mommy's water mug. Thankfully he didn't know how to suck the water up the straw - or back down into the mug.

It was a really fun day, but we were all glad to get out of the wind.

Logan Trip

A while back my family decided to go to Logan for a weekend to see Toby perform in his piano recital. I totally forgot to bring my camera to his recital so I don't have pictures of that. He did really well though!

Since we were such a large group we investigated house vacation rentals instead of just getting 3 or 4 hotel rooms. We ended up renting a house in Logan so everyone could stay together and we could cook our meals and just enjoy the time together. It turned out to be a lot of fun.

The weather was pretty good for being March in Logan. Here are some pictures of Jonathan hanging out on the deck. Incidentally, our trip fell on his 31st birthday weekend but he didn't mind. He got what he wanted - ice cream from USU Creamery.

Grandma brought kites for all the kids so they enjoyed trying to make them fly. There was a really big yard at this house.
I set up camp on the lawn with Junior and an umbrella to shade him from the sun. Turns out he really likes the umbrella!

Junior was later joined by Grace, you can see pictures of their fun play in the grass in a previous post.

He really likes paper too!

The trip was a little less fun when our plans were interrupted by an injury. You can't get away with a vacation without someone getting hurt. So halfway through our Saturday as the kids were trying to get their kites to fly Braden was running through the backyard with his kite and turned to look behind him to see if his kite was catching air and ran full force into the trampoline.

Matt and Allison went to the Instacare and 4 hours & 7 stitches later he was back and happy as can be. We then went to the cheese factory and bought our traditional bag of squeaky cheese, went to visit cousins and their new baby and, of course, visited the Logan Zoo. It ended up being a fun trip, aside from the injury, and we hope to do it again sometime.
